Tequila Mixed Drinks: Freddy Fudpucker

Freddy Fudpucker: one of the most unusual tequila mixed drinks ever. Really, who would ever call a drink “Freddy Fudpucker”? Fortunately for us, whoever did invent it knew a thing or two about tequila cocktails.

A Freddy is an orange-based cocktail with a funny name. This recipe is also the first uploaded to Tequila Knight that uses Galliano liqueur.

Ever tried Galliano? It's a 42.3% alcohol with a sweet, herbal taste and a long, distinctive bottle. It’s most predominant flavor is vanilla, but it also uses anise, lavender, mint, cinnamon, and coriander.

Yup, a very complete spirit.

Galliano is a balanced liqueur praised by bartenders for the way it complexity to drinks without muting other flavors.

So, ready to mix something up?

Freddy Fudpucker

Cook time: 5 minutes.

Makes: 1 serving.

Ingredients:

- 1 part blanco or reposado tequila (I use reposado for this recipe)

- ½ part Galliano

- 6 parts fresh orange juice

- ice cubes

- Collins glass

- orange garnish

Preparation:

Add the ice to the Collins glass. Follow up by pouring the tequila, Galliano, and fresh orange juice directly into the Collins glass. Stir well and add the orange garnish to the glass.

See? Tequila recipes don’t get any simpler than this! (The taste, however, is priceless)

Summing things up...

There you have it. One of the silliest-named tequila drinks ever. I can totally see myself drinking Freddy Fudpuckers on any sunny day.

Funny name, serious drink… Now go make yourself some!
